Searching for Spring/ 早春のケンジントン･ガーデンズ

Today, I took out my sunglasses for the first time this year!  It was such a sunny day, and was lovely to be out.  I took a walk in Kensington Gardens.

I fed the little birds- robins, blue tits and great tits, the usual crowd.  After that, I headed over to the pond, where lots of birds were either swimming, eating or sunbathing (sounds familiar?).
I enjoyed observing some of the dramas there...

I was also looking for some signs of spring: the daffodils were getting ready- but not quite yet.

Crocuses were blooming, and so were the snowdrops.

The temperature still goes up and down, but the daylight is getting longer and longer, and that's at least one clear sign of spring approaching!

今日はとっても良い天気だったので、サングラスをかけて散歩してきました（ハードコンタクト着用の私は、日が出てれば大抵サングラスかけてます　笑）。暖かで、とても気持ち良かった！向かったのは、ケンジントン･ガーデンズです。

いつもどおり？小鳥にエサをやりました。シジュウカラやコマドリなど。
それから、池にむかうと、こちらにもいろんな鳥がいました。泳いだり、日向ぼっこしたり、エサをついばんだり…なんだか、水辺の人間とやることがおんなじだなぁ。
結構いろいろとドラマが繰り広げられているのが、面白かった。

パンを奪い合ったり（自分の頭くらいの大きさ!!）、

整列したり…ポーズとってくれたのかしら…

自分の背丈ほどの鳥にエサをやってみたり。

そろそろ春らしい花も見つかるんじゃないかなーと期待していたのですが、こちらの春の象徴、黄色のラッパ水仙はちょうど芽が出たところでした。まだもうちょっと。

クロッカスや、スノードロップはちょうど満開でした。

気温はまだ上下が激しいけれど、日は確実に延びています。これこそ、たしかに春が近づいている証拠。とはいえ、春爛漫、はいつになるでしょう…。
